I manage development of the Dryad data repository. I am primarily a computer scientist, with expertise in the fields of search engines and digital libraries.
One of the long-term goals for Dryad is to facilitate information discovery across multiple repositories. My primary goal for the hackathon is to learn more about other repositories and gain familiarity with the Nexml and PhyloWS standards. On a more practical level, I would like to investigate how best to make data from Dryad available to others (given that Dryad contains a wide range of content that does not always conform to standardized formats), as well as how to incorporate data from more specific repositories.
For more information on me, see my (somewhat outdated) old home page. (No, there isn't a "new" home page yet...)
